Kenmore Elite Washer Door Lock Override

The following step is pressing the start button.

Kenmore elite washer door lock override. We recently bought it from a resale store and found the tab broken off. Manually unlocking the washer is necessary if you need to cancel the cycle remove clothing or add clothing to the wash after you start the washing cycle. The kenmore front loading automatic washer automatically locks when a wash cycle is currently in progress and prevents accidental opening of the washer s door until the cycle is finished. There is one screw on the lower front of each end cap of the panel.

Open the lid and close it. After putting it back on the washer started but now i need to do anoth load and it won t start just a blinking cycle light. To access this tab unplug the washer and remove the bottom front service panel as shown in the first image below. Step 4 place the lid door panel properly and fasten the retaining tabs or screws as necessary.

There is a tab on the bottom of the door lock assembly that you can pull until it clicks to manually unlock the washer door. Now place a magnet between door lock and the solenoid that will create a magnetic connection between them. Find the two screws securing the control panel to the top of the washer. The tricky part comes after this.

Locate the lid door lock switch on the underside of the panel basically where the lid door fits with the body of the washer. First when you turn on the machine the display will show the time remaining. I tried placing a small screw in the remaining tab but the unit fails to start.
